Garden cottage and The Coach House are self-catering accommodation set in wooded countryside at Fellside, in the Borrowdale valley, near Keswick. Derwent Water lies to the south of Keswick in the northern Lake District, and Fellside is situated at the western side of the lake at the foot of Catbells. The Borrowdale valley runs beside the lake and down to the Honister Pass which leads over to Buttermere.
Borrowdale is a beautiful, scenic part of the Lake District lying to the south of the town of Keswick, adjacent to lake Derwent Water. There is much to do in this splendid area including walking, cycling and water sports in addition to many interesting places to visit. The popular village of Grange, with its well known bridge and riverside café, is one of a number of picturesque villages. The popular fells of Castle Crag, Walla Crag and Catbells can all be easily accessed, with Scafell and Great End at the end of the valley. The market town of Keswick is approximately 15 minutes drive away and has plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants, it’s own museum, brewery, and entertainment including a cinema and theatre. The climbing centre, leisure pool and parks, to name a few, provide further exciting activities.
Stayinborrowdale guests are able to enjoy the peaceful grounds in which the cottages are set and which are home to deer and red squirrels. Direct access onto the fells makes the location perfect for walkers, and the lake shore is within easy walking distance too. Dogs are welcome to stay in our cottages.
